Week 3 Reflection: Mrs Beers; A Language Arts Classroom, a blog by Erin Beers
Erin Beer is a mother, wife, and sixth grade language arts teacher-mom. Erin uses this adorable term "teach-mom" to explain her carazy busy life juggling being a productive teacher and mother at the same time. In her blog post, You Might Be A Teacher-Mom If..., she talks about her first days back at school after maternity leave. It is funny, short post about her crazy busy life. Mrs. Beer has been in the teaching game for 15 years and is a National Board Certified Teacher in Eary Adolescent English Language Arts. She has created a website mixed with fun, non stressful blog posts, informational blog posts, and a store full of interactive lesson plans. She also provides us with tips for when you have a sub in your class room in her blog post, Sub Plans made Simple, Tips for a Worry-Free Day.
Mrs. Beer is very active on Teachers Pay Teachers, but she also gives us the opportunity to snag some language arts freebies. This is a great resource for first year teachers who maybe need some inspiration. You can get to the freebies directly through her website or join an email list.
I will definitely be coming back to Mrs. Beer's blog. The website its self is set up in a very appealing way. I have been looking at this blog for the past week and still am finding new things. The amount of resources she provides are endless. Thank you Erin Beer!
