Week 5 Reflection: Surfnet, a Blog by Barbara Feldman
Barbara Feldman has been learning about computers for the last 20 years. She has previously worked as a newspaper publisher, programmer, computer consultant, and software author. Barbara describes her blog as her wonderful vision of the web. This blog is made for families, teachers, and students who are interested and educational activities. In the blog, Barb provides many resources. For example she includes a tab just for fun, for resources, to shop, for grown-ups, for printable's, for early education, printables, and popular activities.

One resource that Barbara provides on her blog is a calendar. This calendar is made for all the national days throughout the months. This is personally my favorite section of the blog because you have so many resources given to you for all of the months out of the year. For example in October she has national popcorn month, national stamp collecting month, and computer learning month. Within each activity for the month Barbara provides us with a downloadable PDF form. Here you can find the given activity. The downside to this resource is that it does cost two dollars to access the PDF file. To the right at the calendar Barbara provides us with holiday mini sites including Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Here we can find many activities to do with our students during the holidays.
